Application letter

Application letter is a formal letter written to apply for a job. An application letter is an important information and includes reasons for applying for the position. 

Generic structure application letter

1. Heading

You can write down detailed information about your identity. Like the name, the complete address includes the city, province and zip code, telephone number and email.

2. Inside addres

Includes the name of the recruiter, the position and the recruiter's full address.

3. Salutation (greeting)

Give greetings, for example dear Dr/ Mr/ Mrs. However, of you don't know the recruiter's name, you can write down "Deaing hiring manager". 

4. The body of letter 

The first paragraph can explain why you created the letter. Mention the job you applied for and where you found the job opening

The second paragraph should contain what you have to offer the recruiter, including your skills and work experience. Mention why you are the strongest candidate for the job.

5. Complimentary close

Contains a thank you to the recruiter.

6. Signature 

In polite language like regards or sincerely or write your name.

Caption text is brief description, heading, or title that identifier or introduces a document, graphic, photograph, or table.

 

Generic structure of caption

1. The title
2. The lead
3. Section Heading

What is the caption function?

Helping readers or viewers to understand more information that might not be in photos or videos.

Rule of Writing a caption?

1. Supply specific information (Answering 5W1H Question)
2. User present tense on the first sentence
3. Caption are written in a complete sentences
4. Clearly identify the people and location in the photo
5. Identify the person from left to right

How to a write caption text?

1. Observe the picture or video you will give the caption
2. Find out the message that will be sent from the picture before you write caption
3. Write sentence or phrase under the picture

     News Item Text

News item text is text that functions to convey events every day. Usually the events that are written down are events that are important and recent. This type of text can be found in newspapers. 

To make it easier to determine what text is being read, the following features of the news item text will be shared:

○ Use action verbs or dynamic verbs (verbs that denote activity). 

○Dominant uses saying verbs. 

○Use the adverb of place, adverb of time, and adverb of manner. 

GENERIC STRUCTURE To make this type of text is not difficult. In the following section, we will share ways to create news item text based on a generic structure. So that it will form a good and correct text. 

 1. Main events

 The main incident deserves to be news. In the first paragraph there will be a newsworthy event where this paragraph introduces the background of something happening and where it starts. This paragraph is more like an introduction. 

Example: 

Seven people were killed in a collision between a bus, a car and a truck at 10:35 p.m. on Jalan Sultan last night

 2. Elaboration

 

 After knowing a glimpse of the incident that was raised, the reader will be brought into several situations that usually provide supporting ideas for the main event. This supporting idea is packaged in a paragraph after the newsworthy event which is commonly known as elaboration. Elaboration itself can also be the causes of the main events. This is where an explanation of the main events in the language includes time, actor, occurrence, etc. 

Example : 

The dead were all passengers in the car. Police believe the car may have been trying to overtake the bus when it was struck by a truck coming from the opposite direction. The driver of the car may not have been using his lights, as the truck driver said he did not see the car approaching.

3. Source 

In this last stage, a learner will see for himself the characteristics of news item text. Because this type of text is news text so that a valid news source is something absolute so it is necessary to have a source listed either in the form of experts, experts' notes or research conducted by experts.

Example : 

The police said the car should not have been trying to pass the bus, since overtaking is not allowed on Jalan Sultan. In addition, the police reported that the car–a small Japanese car–should not have been carrying more than five people. The names of the victims are not yet known.

The news

The University of Indonesia Epidemiologist, Pandu Riono, revealed that the main reason for the Covid-19 case in Indonesia continued to surge due to the reduced public discipline in wearing masks. Maybe the public sounds bored with the advice of the government and experts who tell them to always obey health protocols. But so far, Pandu has admitted that there really is no other way that people can do other than the discipline of implementing health protocols. Especially using a mask. The surge in the number of positive Covid-19 patients in Indonesia is often associated with a growing number of tests. The government often says that they have done a fairly high increase in tests, so the number of Covid-19 cases has also increased.

Pandu does not blame it. It is true that the more tracing, the more positive cases of Covid will be found. Even though the government claims to have increased tracing, Pandu still asks the government to continue to increase test capacity.

So in addition to implementing other health protocols such as keeping a distance and washing hands, Pandu sees that by always wearing a mask, the community can greatly assist the government in stopping the spread of the Corona virus.

According to him, the main way to prevent the transmission of the Corona virus is to wear a mask. The mask is the main fortres that can protect itself from Covid-19.

Introduce my self :)

Hii guys.. my name is Nada Jasmine Pradhanti, you can call me nada, nad or da but you can also call jasmine :). My hobby is listening to music and colouring, because with music and colours  someone can show their feelings. One of my favorite bands is one direction, I think their songs can represent all feelings, such as anger, joy, sadness, falling in love, and even their songs also describe family, friends or boyfriend.

By the way guys i am 17 years old. I'm in 12th grade and attended 27 high schools, I joined OSIS-MPK at my school. I am the second of two siblings, I have a beautiful, independent, understanding and brave mother, i have a handsome, responsible, funny and hard working father, i have a handsome, funny, silly, and smart big brother and i also have a cat named caplang, and most importantly they have me who is beautiful, cheerful, sweet, kindness hehehe:)

I have my favorite tourist spot, so far Yogyakarta and Bali are my favorite places when I go on vacation with my family at the end of the year. And of course I also have a list of tourist attractions that I want to visit, both in the country and abroad. I was very happy when me and my family were discussing the plans for the tour that we would visit, even though sometimes my brother and I had different opinions but in the end we made a good decision.

I don't really like spicy foods I tend to like sweet foods but almost all my family likes spicy food but i don't, i also don't know why i don't like spicy maybe because I'm sweet so i like sweet foods hahaha✌  I want to be a psychologist, so I try and study hard so that what I want can be achieved.
